  • Pro Chain conversion kits are developed as a bolt-on solution, without requiring any modifications to the engine. The installation procedure is largely similar to replacing the original timing belt and uses the same timing tools.

    The conversion kit includes all components required to convert the engine to a timing chain system, including the chain, sprockets, guides, tensioner and oil supply line.

    Engine Identification

    Engines can be identified using different codes, depending on where the information is found:

    • the full engine code, as listed in technical documentation (for example: EB2DT)

    • a three-letter engine code located in the vehicle identification number (VIN), specifically characters 6, 7 and 8 (for example: HNZ)

    • an engine code stamped on the engine block (for example: HN01)

    To avoid confusion, Pro Chain groups compatible engines using combined code sets.
